Types of Appointments

Same Day Drop In Appointments

Monday - Friday, 9:15 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

  • Drop-ins are 15 minutes. You must come in person to sign-up for appointments. Space is limited so we recommend that you arrive early to sign-up as these appointments are made on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • Please check-in at the front desk in the Office of Student Services, 102 Social Ecology I. 

Advance Appointments

Call our office at (949) 824-6861, or stop by SE I 102 to schedule an appointment.

  • Advance appointments are 30 minutes in length and are scheduled up to two weeks in advance.
  • You must call at least one day in advance to schedule these appointments.
  • Unfortunately, same day 30-minute appointments are not available.
  • Advance appointments are reserved for current Social Ecology students. Non-Social Ecology majors can still meet with a  peer academic advisor or academic counselor during our walk-in hours.
  • Please be respectful of our counselors' time and call to cancel if you cannot attend a scheduled appointment so that we may assist other students. 

Field Study Appointments

Drop In Advising:

Thursday Afternoons, 1:15 - 3:45.  Signups begin at 1:00 p.m.

  • Discuss detailed questions and/or concerns regarding field study with field study program staff.  General questions regarding field study can be answered during the daily walk-in hours. 
  • Please check-in at the front desk in the Office of Student Services.

Sample questions to ask your academic counselor:
