What I Recommend To Students: Field study is a process. Start thinking about how field study can help you towards your aspirations early - it will help you get the most out of your field study experience. By the end of your junior year, be familiar with the enrollment process and resources available for planning for field study. |

Academic Counselor | Educational Background: B.A. in English from UC Irvine and M.S. in Counseling in Student Development in Higher Education from Cal State Long Beach One Thing Most People Don’t Know About Me: I find satisfaction in crunching leaves with my shoes. When I think no one is looking, I go out of my way to stomp around on them What I Recommend Doing at UCI: Take electives! Some of my favorite classes were ones that didn't "count" specifically toward my degree - I loved Wr 31, a creative writing course, and a few of the education classes. In retrospect, I wish I took an Asian Am class or a Women's Studies class. Don't forget the big picture of why you're here, which is getting an education and gaining knowledge to new and different areas. |
