New Freshman
All new freshmen must must attend our Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) academic advising session.
After July 1st, new freshmen must meet UCI's change of major criteria for continuing students.

New Transfer
New transfer students who wish to change majors before fall quarter begins must follow the criteria below.
Incoming Fall 2021 Transfer Students Interested in Changing Majors Into the School of Social Ecology: If you meet the change of major requirements, please fill out this form. You will be sent information on how to reigster for your mandatory transfer advising session through your admissions portal. After June 7th, new transfers must meet UCI's change of major criteria for continuing students.
Change of Major Criteria for New Transfer Students:
- Psychological Science: 3.0 overall GPA
- Criminology, Law and Society: All students may change to this major.
- Social Ecology: All students may change to this major.
- Urban Studies: All students may change to this major.
Once fall quarter begins, new students who wish to change their major must follow UCI's change of major criteria for continuing students.
