Engaging in research provides you with the opportunity to think, organize information, problem solve, and apply concepts you’ve learned in the classroom, as well as demonstrate your commitment, reliability, and capacity for research. It also affords you the opportunity to work with faculty and experts in the field and can serve as a launch pad for developing your own research. Students can help their chances of admission to graduate school by demonstrating research skills and working with faculty who can testify to their readiness for advanced training.
