Welcome to the School of Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine! Congratulations on choosing to pursue your college education at UC Irvine.
Incoming Freshmen
As an incoming freshman, you are required to attend an orientation session. These will be in person for Summer 2024. During your academic advising session, you will have an opportunity to meet our academic counselors and peer academic advisors. Our professional and student staff will help you register for your fall classes. We strongly encourage you to use the informational links below to assist you with your planning efforts. Again, congrats on your decision to attend UC Irvine. We look forward to working with you!
Students who wish to change their major to one of the four majors within Social Ecology (Psychological Science; Criminology, Law and Society; Urban Studies; or Social Ecology) will need to meet Change of Major criteria after matriculating. If you would like to change majors to a different academic unit, please contact that academic unit directly.
